Australian native turmeric from the tropics. Edible tubers and roots just like regular turmeric. Foliage dies back over Winter and Spring, resprouting for the growing season of Summer and Autumn. Likes a part sun or shaded position with moist well drained soil. Great for growing in pots, though watering should be reduced or stopped altogether when the plant is not actively growing. Bright pink flowers on mature plants.
